Buggy is the Captain of the Buggy Pirates. Buggy was captured by Maries and set to Impel Down after confusing their base for Captain John's treasure hold. In his attempts to escape he joins forces with Straw Hat Luffy, who was trying to save his brother Ace from execution. After successfully causing enough of a riot and releasing of prisoners they stormed the prison to force the front entrance open.
