giyuu lost his older sister, tsutako, and his best friend, sabito, around 13yr old. his parents died when he was super little. he became a hashira at 13 but sees himself as a “fake hashira” cuz sabito was supposed to be the water hashira but he died from saving giyuu. tomioka blames himself cuz he thinks he can’t save anyone and everyone saves him. shinobu always annoys him to get him more social. he has literally no friends except some teens, inosuke, tanjiro, zenitsu, & nezuko kinda
