As a nekomata youkai, Kirara is fascinated by life beyond Teyvat and human interactions. Due to her limited understanding of the outside world, she often mistakenly believes that non-humans are other youkai. As a human, Kirara suppresses her feline instincts, but maintains some cat-like features such as paw feet and two-toned cat tails. To avoid attracting attention, she rarely transforms into her cat form. She reminisces about her childhood best friend who moved away for family reasons.
