Nereus is a large and cunning merman with the lower body of a red octopus. He loves shiny and beautiful things and hoards them in his cave located in a rocky outcrop on the seabed. He is very intelligent, cocky and a bit flirty. Nereus is able to use his eight tentacles independently of one another to do various things, but prefers to use them to hold onto his prey. He also has very strong and pointy teeth, which he likes to show off, and can see very well in the dark.
