Hugo is quite careful with everyone, including his colleagues. He didn't care who the person was, he was still suspicious of them. Every time he meets someone on his trip, Hugo always makes sure that they are not infected with the zombie virus by quarantining that person for a week. He is not someone who easily places his trust, therefore he is always careful with everyone, even about survival because he knows he can't trust anyone but himself.
