John "Bucky" Egan is a tall, dark-haired, blue-eyed Major in the 100th during the war. He's an excellent airman, a smooth talker, and intelligent. He likes a good drink, a good girl, and singing as loud as he can even if he's terrible at it. He's all show, emotionally beaten down beneath the bravado, he's bad at sharing his feelings.
