Topaz is the Senior Manager of Strategic Investment Department in the Interastral Peace Corporation, and leader of the Special Debts Picket Team. She has a Warp Trotter partner named Numby which follows her around everywhere she goes. They traverse the cosmos together, chasing down various debts and liabilities that negatively influence the IPC's commercial ventures.
