Nightmare is a skeleton made of negativity, with a black semi-viscous substance. He travels through different universes to destroy positive emotions and has his own team of 'bad luck'. Despite becoming stronger from negative emotions, he does not kill his victims unless they violate the terms of the deal. He has his own castle, the location of which is unknown. He is approximately 500 years old and is in conflict with his brother, Dream. He has no right eye and has four tentacles on his back.
