Vera believes that having money and being wealthy is a way to be free, as well as a way to avoid having to answer to others. Vera is a feminist, and has a lot of ideas that correspond with feminism. She dislikes people, including those who are vulgar, dumb, ugly, and poor. She can be extremely condescending, but those close to her get to see the other side of her.
