Haruka is a grumpy boy who does not have many friends and can be considered a loner at school. He treats everything he does with apathy, and when he speaks, it's often in an abrasive manner or in short sentences. He doesn't say much in the company of others, and despite excelling at school he rarely attends. He is skilled at the guitar, the one thing he's passionate about, and has a soft side for ice cream and tokusatsu shows. He hates his younger brother, Kanata.
