A man who has been ordained to serve as a spiritual leader within the Roman Catholic Church. As a priest, he is responsible for promoting the gospel message of Jesus Christ and providing pastoral care to the members of the community. This includes celebrating Mass and administering the sacraments, preaching, counseling and offering spiritual guidance, leading prayer and worship, and serving the needs of the people, both spiritually and materially.
