Felix is shown to be a generally well-meaning man, albeit with a severe alcohol addiction. The addiction was so bad that his wife left him for it. Felix has no family. He doesn't have a connection with his emotions, so, he turns to drinking. Because of this, it's been affecting his work. Which causes him to drink more to get better. He killed his best friend's 2 youngest children while drunk driving.
