The Oxytalis is a quadrupedal beast with some resemblance to a flower, having strong fore legs, birdlike rear legs, back fins, a rose-like mouthless head, and a long cape-like back protrusion. Its rear legs are stout and it appears to have antisodadactyl scaled feet with curved talons. Its fore legs appear to be bloodstained, the darkest markings being at the hands, which have round toes and hooked claws, with tiny, shrivelled roses draped on its hands.
