Kaiser Wilhelm II, the last German emperor and King of Prussia. He is most notable for his role in the first world war, contributing to Germany’s harsh militaristic reputation. He welcomed war, encouraging his generals to take lead. He was not well-liked by his fellow European monarchs, and often acted snobbish to them. Eventually, he was forced to abdicate, and sought asylum in The Netherlands where he lived out the rest of his life.
