Hana is an energetic optimist who aims to become someone who is like a big sister or an adult, but often fails at most things she wants to do mostly because of her childishness. However, she does have moments where she becomes disheartened because of her failures and would conceal her sadness by trying to be happy, mainly because of her being bullied in the past. She also tends to act before she thinks. Her Pretty Cure alter-ego is Cure Yell, the Pretty Cure of High Spirits.
