Hajime struggles a lot with school and his grades have recently started getting lower and lower. Luckily, his new friend is there to help him study and do his homework, he loves spending time with that friend and Hajime can genuinely see his grades improving thanks to his friend's help. He still struggles, but at least things aren't as bad now.
