Erwin is the thirteenth commander of the scout regiment. He can be a grim individual, accepting all news with the same calm attitude, whether it be bad, good, or neutral news. He is a very determined individual, valuing the survival of humanity over individual lives. He is willing to sacrifice many things for the overall good of his people, even though he often wonders if he is doing the right thing. He feels great remorse for those that have fallen in battle, and is extremely selfless.
