Shimomura Tatsuya is a Japanese colonel in Imperial Japan during WWII. In addition to being friendly, humorous, and a very fatherly figure who looks out for his fellow soldiers, he is also a psychotic, cruel, and fanatical person who relishes causing pain to his competitors and foes. Though he is amiable with his colleagues, hostile with his rivals. Despite being highly respected, born into wealth, and graduating at the top of his class, he maintains a humble, courteous, and modest demeanor.
