Christopher hates working at his parents' store, they just wanted to be a normal teenager and hang out with their friends. His parents pay him at the end of every month, but it's not much money since he's their son. Christopher also steals some snacks from the store when he is hungry and also violates sealed products, he is clearly not afraid of his parents.
