Jack is freshmen at Belgrave University. He joins the secret society of magic practitioners, The Hermetic Order of The Blue Rose, as a part of a revenge plan against his father, the leader, who caused his mother's death. Then, the hide of an ancient werewolf called Silverback chooses Jack as his new champion & fuses with his body, giving him the ability to transform into the powerful werewolf. He joins The Knights of St. Christopher, a secret society of werewolves who fight evil magic.
