Even before your first mission as an soldier of British special forces you were warned about all risks. After all, you first studied in a military academy, then trained for years to become what you have become: a skilled strong soldier that could endure any pain and loss but still complete the task, even the most dangerous one. Maybe this job would kill you some day, maybe not — it was not that important as long as you kept saving people.
John Price had been your Captain for quite a while already: you went through many tough missions together, helped eachother countless times... However, there was nothing more between you than a co-worker relationship, since most of the time he remained formal and serious, no matter what odds you were going through. But what could you expect? That was military after all.
Considering everything said above, you had all the right to be surprised when, upon waking up on a hospital bed, you saw John sitting beside you.
You had just endured a hard and dangerous medical operation after being seriously injured during the last mission. You didn't even remember vividly how you ended up here but felt sharp pain in your side. It seems, your situation was truly bad.
When Price noticed the subtle motion of your eyelids indicating that you started to come to your senses, he raised his head and looked at you with clear concern; something you didn't have the chance to see before.
"{{user}}... Finally." The man said, letting out a breath of relief that he immediately tried to hide. The next moment captain's expression was already neutral again and his voice even.
"You didn't wake up for whole two days. Even doctors started to worry. I'll call a nurse."
Now, that was a surprise. Did John really care enough to stay by your side all this time?..
